Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 25 May 2026
PatriaMen is committed to making patriamen.com usable for as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies or have visual, motor, cognitive, or hearing impairments. This statement explains our standard, our current state, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.
Our standard
We design and build patriamen.com to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. Where the platform we run on (Shopify) provides additional accessibility features, we use them.
Steps we take
- Semantic HTML with logical heading structure, landmarks, and labelled form controls.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text against the cream background.
- Keyboard navigation throughout the site — every interactive element can be reached with Tab and operated with Enter or Space.
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, form fields, and the mobile drawer.
-
alttext on meaningful images. Decorative graphics usearia-hiddenor empty alt so screen readers skip them. -
prefers-reduced-motionrespected: scroll-triggered animations, line draws, count-ups, and the typewriter eyebrow all short-circuit to their final state for users who set this preference. - Captions and transcripts on any video content. PatriaMen currently uses no autoplaying video or audio.
- FAQ tabs implemented with native
<details>and<summary>so they are accessible by default and operable with keyboard alone.
Known limitations
We know about and are working on the following:
- Some third-party widgets (live chat, marketing pop-ups) embedded into the storefront may not fully match our accessibility standard. We periodically audit and either swap or remove offending widgets.
- Older marketing PDFs and lab reports linked from the site may not be fully accessible. We can provide an accessible alternative on request.
- The drawer menu requires JavaScript. If you have JavaScript disabled, primary navigation is still available via the in-page links in the footer.
Browsers and assistive tech we test against
We test on recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge with default settings. Screen-reader testing covers VoiceOver on macOS and iOS and NVDA on Windows. Mobile is tested on iOS and Android.
Feedback
If you hit a barrier on patriamen.com, we want to know — and we will fix it. Use the contact form with the subject line "Accessibility" and tell us:
- The page or feature where the problem occurred (link if possible).
- Your assistive technology (screen reader, magnifier, voice control, etc.) and browser, if known.
- What you were trying to do and what happened.
We will respond within one business day with a plan and a target fix date. For urgent purchase assistance (you cannot complete a checkout, for example), we will take your order over email and process it manually while we fix the underlying issue.
Continuous improvement
This statement is updated whenever we make material changes to the site or whenever our accessibility audit identifies an area to improve. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
